Trafford Women’s Aid offers a Legal Advice Service which runs twice a week in our Community Office in Old Trafford.

If you are suffering from domestic abuse you have a right to be protected under the law.

There are several things you can do to protect yourself and stop the perpetrator causing you further harm.

Domestic abuse can be dealt with both under the criminal law and the civil law.

The civil law is primarily aimed at protection of the victim. The criminal law is primarily aimed at punishing the offender.
